Steering wheel not aligned properly?

So I notice today that when i'm driving straight, my steering wheel is at a noticeable angle to the left. I had my alignment done + camber bolts installed a few months ago so I don't picture it being an alignment issue. The car dosen't drive funny or pull to one side....its just that the steering wheel isn't straight across when I drive straight. Insight anyone?

Mine is the same way, but only since we did my clutch. We had the whole steering assembly out of the car of course so i was just thinking it was my alignment but if more are having it I'm curious to what it is.

you can align your steering wheel. whoever does your alignment should do this as well.

Mine does it, as does my parents LS. Both 07's.

Maybe whoever installed the steering system on the 2007 cobalts was drunk?

easiest way to check if your steering wheel is off center is when your stopped put your steering wheel straight. get out of the car and look at the wheels, if they are straight then the steering wheel is fine, if they aren't then your steering wheel has become off center and needs to be realigned. your suspension alignment and your steering alignment are 2 differen't things that at the same time control the same thing.

mines always been that way, just like they put the steering wheel on a little crooked. like if i took it off and put it back on a few splines over, it would be straight. i just don't know how to go about doing it.

one thing i can think of is that when you get an allignment.. if they have to adjust one side more then the other it could cause the steering wheel to be off a little. The only way for it be fixed is to make sure the steering wheel is centered next time while they do your alignment. Not 100% sure on that though

ok guys your rack and pinion will become loose over time and with aggressive driving causing your steering wheel to become off center, when you do an alignment the tech is supposed to recenter your steering wheel. now also if for those of you that did your clutches and had the all the steering components out and didn't put them back in straight and checked this would cause the steering wheel to be off center as well.

I just noticed today that my front left wheel is way out of camber. I'm gonna take it in to the place I had my alignment done/camber bolts installed (PTuning) soon and see if they can re-adjust the camber for free since I had it done only a few months ago.

when you did the alignment did you calculate the lowering into the specs? that would cause it to drift to the left it wasn't aligned properly

Guys outamymind is on point on this, most likely your toe adjustment is out, part of an alignment is to center the steering wheel. The tech may have missed it or some other factor has changed it, like potholes and clutch changes and such. You could actually have correct geometrical alignment but your steering wheel can still be out...
