I have just installed ZZP lowering springs and replaced the front struts. When I went to reassemble the front struts the strut mount is sitting cockeyed on the strut. I’ll attach a picture to show how it is sitting. I thought it may have been spring orientation but it is seated correctly and I have no idea why this is occurring.
If this is normal please let me know but any help would be appreciated!
It's normal, BUT you need to make sure the spring seat is oriented correctly, otherwise it'll affect your camber and caster in negative ways.
When mounted to the car, that tab that sticks out of the upper spring seat should be pointed towards the engine (opposite of the knuckle mount on the bottom).
