Struts Covered?

My front 2 struts are blown and leaking fluid everywhere...
Are they covered under warranty when I get the chance to take it in?

if you still have bumper to bumper warranty it should be, but otherwise it will not be.

should be under the 3/36,000miles standard warranty, but not after that. It maybe considered a wear part also...

I guess that would depend on the terms of the extended warranty. I'm unsure what the extended warranty would cover, you should probably review whatever papers you signed on the extended warranty, I'm sure it would tell you what is covered. If not, a quick call to the dealership should be able to help you.

I guess they would give me the typical, "it's a wear item", just like 99% of the crap they have replaced on the car.
Already been through all the steps with GM filing complaints on the car too.

I think they are under the 1 year 12,000 mile warranty. Since they are a wear item.
The same with brake Rotors.

Guess I'll continue to drive the car into the ground then.

Hello,

Just wanted to confirm that struts are not a part of the powertrain warranty.

It's a wear item. Why does replacing something you know wears out make it driving your car into the ground. How many miles do yours have?
