Sun Roof won't open
Sun Roof won't open
Yep well here is my first problem with my 06 SS, my friggin sun roof will not open, seems like the motor just isn't strong enough. It worked fine the other day but no more. It starts to move then stops and the weather is finally nice here to open the damn thing, go figure.
dont push the button all the way in and it will vent. If you keep pushing the button though over and over it will just open or close and wont vent for some reason so decide what your gonna do first. If your driving it seems that it doesn't like to vent so decide before you ride
yea i've had the same problem with it not opening when i hit the button, but hasnt died on me yet. you can tell its really weak though and probably will go soon. anyone notice the passenger front window also goes up much slower than the driver window?
Yea mine is the same way. Most of the time the sunroof will vent just fine, but others it wont vent but open. And it seems really slow to open sometimes. The passenger side motor is slower than the drivers on mine as well.

Yours wont open? Mine wont close! I was opening it one day and heard a loud snap, now the back drivers side corner wont go down all the way. I cant wash my car now and there's an annoying sound when i drive.
My 98 Saturn had the same sunroof module (although I hope they have done some updates since then). The frickin cable inside snapped (I discovered this when it wouldn't close and had to dismantle everything and force it closed). If you have to buy a new module it's like $1000. I assume all these opening/closing problems you are having should still be covered by warranty but you never know. Just wanted to let you know it's a bitch if it actually breaks.

no i forgot to mention that i got my motor replaced already like literally within 2 months of buying it new and it hasn't failed since. The issue had to do with the angle that the window was installed in. Some windows were to low or high or left or right and back or forward and when the car went through its daily stop and go and turn it can screw up the track and burn up the motor over a short time. At least this is what the tech dude told me after they replaced my motor
