Sunroof, A-pillar, Passenger floor leak....

A while back I posted because I couldnt find the source of this FUNKY smell in my car. I have found that source and maybe a couple of other guys could use this information. I found that my passenger side floor was getting wet when ever I washed it or it rained/ snowed. The smell was caused by this stagnant water sitting and soaking into my floor. i traced the leak back to the sunroof. Seems to only happen on the passenger side but the water is pooling under the glass and somehow running over to my passenger a-pillar, running down the dashboard and then finally comming out right by the speaker on the passenger floor. My question here is, is the water UNDER the glass supposed to be there? i tried shooting water down the drain holes in the sunroof and there seemed to be no blockages. What do I need to replace to stop the leak. I would like to avoid the stealership at all costs. Thanks

Hmmm.. there could be some debris near the drain not allowing the water to get to it. Usually something like this is when the tubes get plugged or they come off completely but cause you said you put the hose right on the drain tube and there were no blockages Im not sure....

I thought there was a TSB on this which recommended the tracking be adjusted by the dealership? I'd have to search the forums to track it down, but sounds like this could be your problem. I think the fix was adjustment of screws so likely something you could do yourself...but I guarantee you I don't get any water under my sunroof like you have...
