Does any one else's sun roof rattle?? Mine doesnt do it all the time tho. Like its fine when i go to work but on my way home it sounds like its going to rattle off. I took it to the dealer to check it out and they couldnt reproduce the problem they said. Anyone have any ideas?

Mine rattles in the cold. The sunroof motor is also very sluggish in the cold.

I have rattles all through my dash too.

There's a TSB for the rear suspension on the 06s for a squeak, might be that rather than the interior.

YES! Me too!! Do you have sunroof or side airbags? I have both and I am thinking it comes from one of the two.

my sunroof rattled, but you could move it with your hand when it was closed... They replaced the whole thing, in doing so the runined my headliner and then replaced that too. Then the car went into self destruct mode shortly after so I drive rentals now while my dealership practices breaking **** on my car.

yo i have the same problem, all you have to do is open your sun roof, and then they have weather strip lubricant, and you put that on the weatherstripping around the sun roof, and it should go away, mine did

Sure wish my dealership was something like yours. Going to my local dealership is like going to the Special Olympics. I told them about my sunroof rattle -- like cavy-to-SS, my problem doesn't show itself until I reach speeds around 100+. Once I mentioned that, all they had for me was a lecture about going that fast, rather than a solution. I'm gonna head up to the town just north of me and see what their dealership can offer me.

Same here. Keep that rubber lubbed! This happend be because a harder rubber chosen to be used. This is not a 'problem'. You should be lubbing all the rubber on your car anyway. It seems you need to lube every 6 months to keep it sounding completely quiet. i'm sure temperature and enviroment affects this time period as well.

Many cars with sunroofs have the exact same issue.

but its more like a rattle.....sounds like its knocking on something....and i can move the sun roof up and down on one side by hand.....but not the other side............something is definitely loose up there but the dealer couldnt find it........anyways....what kind of lub should i try on the rubber?

that is exactly what mine did, it was a bent frame... They replaced it and it fixed the problem, but they also ruined the headliner and I could hear something else rattling when they were done.... They are fixing all that now while they are trying to fix all my other problems.. So by monday hopefully my car is better than new... I plan on trading it in at the end of may.

What kind of lube should we be using...mine squeaks a little but not to bad. I dont want the rubber drying out and cracking so I end up with a leak either.

Mines doing the same thing. I hopped out and checked all the screws and everything to make sure they were tight, and I couldn't find anything. It happened for the first time yesterday and it was in the 70's so it couldn't be the cold for me.
