So... Are there gonna be any helpful posts? I had a supercharged one before and never had an issue with it so obviously it needs readjusted or something. I was just wondering if anyone else had any issues similar. I don't really need to hear about it being a Cobalt.

The weather molding trim on my sunroof is uneven...
Besides the drivetrain, suspension and some emblems... it's still a Cobalt and built cheap like the rest...
That's not to say it could be tweaked/fixed to sit right. I'm sure there are write-ups somewhere on general sunroof adjustments.

Now we are getting somewhere... Write ups work, I am trying to see if I have any bumper to bumper left to see if I can get this fixed by someone else.

Yes I had problems with the sun roof on my 08 Sport. It was at the dealer 3 times for fixes and adjustment under warrenty, but I no longer have it so it's someone elses problem

Then when opening and closing it it made a grinding noise
another issue was when closing it at about 98% it would struggle to completly close

Well with mine it started out sitting uneven, then the rest happened later on. But I was covered by the bumper to bumper warrenty, so it just cost me some days of wasted time when it was at the dealership

They say they fixed it all three times for free and after the third time about two months after they as they said did more adjustments to it the grinding noises came back, but I got rid of the car because it had way too many issues with it other than the sun roof and bought a new pick up truck

In Canada the bumper to bumper warrenty is 3 years or 60 thousand Km which ever comes first, and in the US it is 3 years or 36 thousand miles which ever comes first, so if your over one of those then its not covered

You can get it adjusted or do it yourself if you want to poke around a little. It might be a 2 person job. 1 to sit inside and adjust and someone to stand outside and tell you its even.
Mine needed it when it was new. Its been fine since.

if your getting wind noise its probably because you didnt close the jawn that sits below the sun roof... if my sunroof isnt open i have it closed with that other thing i cannot give a name for it. so its just that jawwwwwwn for now until someone gets me that name. haha

I had the same problem. But because weed in Canada in almost legal, my dealer told me that my sunroof is supposed to sit at an angle, it provides downforce.

What is being showed in that illustration in that thread? I have no clue what it is saying to do.

It's nothing to take out our sun roof, 4-hexscrews - Two in front and two in the back. You might want to loosen the hexes screws on the driver’s side and have someone push down gently while you re-tighten the hex screws. You can also heat up a little bit of petroleum jelly and use a rag to put it on the rubber seal as it might help it sit in better. Hope it helps.
