Supercharger Noise Question

I was getting out of work last night and fired up my car at about 12:30AM, and I popped the hood just to have a look/listen. I noticed that my supercharger was making a little thrumming noise. I figure its just the screws/turbines in there moving like normal, but I don't know if I should have its oil changed or what. Not sure that it should be making any sound at all, but any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm wondering on this as well ! Not a whole lot of experience with a supercharger and it just seems loud and makes noises that you normally feel aren't right. Any info at all on sounds or anything would be helpful !

Good question . im sure a lot of other people are wanting to know as well

The sound is almost like I can hear the screws scraping on the inside of the supercharger wall. I don't know if thats normal, I'm mostly asking if other people are hearing it too because if they are its probably pretty normal. I assume that the scraping sound becomes the whine in the higher RPMs.

Swap out the oil, it will quiet it down. It may be low on fluid, I added 1 bottle and it purred like a kitten afterwards. If you are running a smaller pulley then for sure get it done.
