So how did this go? I'm trying to take apart my stock housings and a set of IPCWs with no results. Tried baking them - nothing... Will again tomorrow or something.

I have probably taken apart 20+ sets of OEM tails and 100+ sets of K2 after market tails in the past 5 years.
Stock tails:
Heat them up in the oven at 180F for 10-15 minutes.
Using a small screw driver, start digging out the sealant. Heat will not liquify it but it will make it softer. Try to get underneath the sealant and you should be able to pull it out in small chunks. Be careful not to scratch up the edge of the lens or crack it while scraping; keep the screw driver close to the housing instead. Once all the sealant is out, carefully pull the lens off the housing. Don't force it.
K2 Motor after market tails.
These DO NOT come apart in one piece. If you want to modify them you will need two sets. Using a dremel, cut away the lens on one set, and cut away the housing on the other set. Then heat up the lenses and housings in the oven at 180F for 15 minutes. This will allow you to pull off the remnants along with the sealant using pliers. I included some pictures below. Just make sure to go slow and use the dremel carefully. Also, don't break off any clips or pins (especially on the inners) or you're screwed and will write off a taillight set...
