There are 2 pressure sensors for the MAP? Follow up for the P1182 Code
Okay so I have done a lot so far to get rid of all these codes and improve my cars performance I obviously am still lacking power for some reason and its driving me crazy. So I went back to advance auto parts and scanned my car. AGAIN with the damn P1182 code.. So I even told the guy that I have replaced this sensor twice, and it sits just on top of the super charger, and that is the pressure sensor right? and he said yes maybe you should take it to the dealer. Well I then traced the wires and found that their was another pressure sensor from the same wiring that led down on the other side of the sc, and the side of the head. This sensor is the actual pressure sensor part# 4106. I have not replaced it yet because I just got it off was kind of a pain in the ass to get to the other bolt so have a swivel neck ratchet or something to make it easier to recheive. Ill post back with updates once I get a new sensor to see if this rids me of the P1182 code. Also this sensor just reads the air? it sits in a little metal bracket thats it.. Hope this might help some of you peeps.
You serious lol? I replaced the snsor on top of the sc, and then the one below it is the one I was convienced was it.. So those arnt the map sensors? what are they then? and do you think you can grab me a pic of it?
I need to see what you are talking about I am 100% positive I have found it but its not like directly int he intake. This sensor just sits on a metal bracket , and it seems like it reads the outside pressure..? Like no hose running to it or nothing.. So I'd assume thats how it is suppose to be, but I dont know I am super sure this is the problem, and its the only code I am throwing now..
Forgot to update this a while back but its bad placement of the map sensor on our aftermarket cold air intakes such as injen. Only reason I say this is because I had an injen but I took it off and did the intake mod and the new placement of the maf sensor on the stock intake cured that pain in the ass p1182 code. Hope this helps everyone who might run into this issue when after installing an aftermarket cai.
