threw a CEL need help
3500 miles on my SS/NA and I threw a CEL on the way home from work. It is really cold here in PA right now but I have no clue WTF is going on with my car. I have NO aftermarket on the car at all and no performance mods at all. I am 500 miles into a new oil change and the car is stored in a garage. The car is running fine but I am afraid to drive it. I am going to call the local dealer tomorrow but it is not where I bought it. This is going to get interesting. I dont think they will even get me in on Friday and I work in a hospital and need the car. Nice, right ????
You can call ANY Chevy dealer to do warranty work. They should be able to Tow your car for you... if you wanna risk it.
Easy way to find out: Take it to Advance Auto... and they will read the code for free. If the car just so happens to "Break" while you are driving it there or to the Dealer... it'll be covered under warranty... and they will provide you with a beater/rental while it is in the shop.

how is anyone going to help you if you dont know what the code is? if the car is running fine, chances are its nothing major and you'll be able to drive it around. the cel can set for simple things like a loose gas cap and many many other things
yeah, you are right. silly thread I guess. I just never expected it from such a new unmolested car, dig?
