Exclamation Tial bov problems. Please help

Ok so I ordered dejons charge pipe and intake with tial bov when in neutral rev I get flutter and the bov opens late and it barely opens. When driving I get flutter and when racing it sounds like poop and I get a little flutter. I hooked everything up the way Dave told me to idk if the spring is to strong or what. While talking to Dave he said that it's normal and then I threw a check engine code p2261=bypass valve stuck. He said I might of hooked it up wrong so I explained he said sounds good. Then he asked if I could check the hoses so I did they were fine. HE then said he does not know I could just tune it out with trifecta I say bull s**t.
I don't lose boost and my car is still just as fast but I get major flutter and what I hope is not mistaken for surge. I'm think it's either the bov itself or not enough vacuum idk anyone have
Some ideas to fix this issue? I am thinking block off plate instead of the stupid four dollar clamp jerry rigging deal, the only reason I got it was because he assured me it would be flawless. I bought dejon when I really wanted Hahn but hahns customer service was very poor and so I went with who helped me the best hopefully I did not sacrifice customer service for quality.

What spring do you have? LNF pull something like 21in of vac at idle which is a weird spot for the tial.

you need the 20. Where are you getting the vac source?

What color is the spring painted that you have in there now? Because Tial BOV's come with different springs.

As far as I know all of us that have Tial BOV's get some sort of BOV flutter at partial throttle letting off the throttle, but none of us get it at WOT letting off throttle, where we get a nice clean BOV event.

If you have the BOV vacuum line hooked to the intake manifold port on the intake, you will need at least the unpainted Tial spring to keep the BOV closed at idle.

If you have the BOV vacuum line hooked up to the BPV solenoid, you will need the white painted spring (I use the black painted spring when I had mine hooked to the BPV solenoid).

Well then idk what spring but whatever it is it's not working it opens to late and doesn't open enough so it sounds like crap. And yeah the way I have it hooked up is on dejons website it's exactly right when someone let's me know how to post pics I will then post them

Well sounds to me like you don't care much if your not even willing to take the spring out and look to make sure you have the correct one in.

The reason I said check the spring is because thats whats going to dictate to which place you hook up the vacuum line up for the bov, like the post I said above.

Found it on Dejons site.

The way mine was setup is this.

The vacuum port next to the electrical connection went straight to the manifold vacuum port.

The vacuum port pointing towards the passenger side went to the BOV

The last vacuum port pointing towards the windshield went to the lower intercooler pipe.

You will have to use either the painted white or black Tial BOV spring with that setup hooked to the BPV solenoid as shown.

I also upgrade all my lines to 1/4" id fuel line, bigger inside diameter then the stock silicone hose..

Yeah it is grey I think. And the hose that was plugged in to the stock bpv is now connected to the new bov and I believe this is plugged into a sensor mounted on the top of the intake manifold. But if there is no grey spring option then it would be black.

If the spring is all grey color (no paint), that is the unpainted spring option.

All other tial springs will have a color on them, white, black, pink etc.

The vacuum port on the solenoid pointing towards the front of the engine, next to the electrical connection needs to be ran to the big vacuum port coming out of the intake manifold next to the solenoid on the drivers side.

The unpainted spring should be fine. Make sure your setup is hooked up like i said above and bypassing the factory vacuum tank. It does make a difference in reaction time of the BOV.

You can't hear the bov venting with the unpainted spring?

I was messing around with my setup yesterday and tried both the black and unpainted springs to see which I liked better (the black one opens with less vacuum, so it blows off all the time). But both vented and both gave some BOV flutter when letting off throttle at partial throttle, but at wot throttle they both blew off loud and clear with no bov flutter.

i ordered the pink spring from tial which is the strongest one. i ran the line from the bov right to the manifold then took a piece of tube and went on one side of the sensor thing and put it on the other side then put the tube coming from the cold side ic pipe and left it on the sensor piece but the piece that sticks out on the left. i get a little flutter but not as much as i had before. and the bov opens better now doesnt take a while to open. also have the tial bov recirculated back into air intake. havent had an engine light since i recirculated the air back into the intake
