Too many problems..
Too many problems..
First off thanks for taking the time to read what I am about to post.
I'm having a few problems with my 06 cobalt s/c.
The first problem is that there is water leaking around my back passenger side window. It doesn't drip it drains all down the plastic panels under the window. During hurricane Irene I had about two inches of standing water in my floor board.
Second problem is that whenever I pull out or back up there is a clicking sound coming from my drivers side axle. Doesn't happen while turning just taking off. Looks like axles may be leaking around the seal where they go into the trans.
Third problem is that in between shifts mostly from 1st to 2nd the car sputters almost like its losing power but usually always fine shifting from 3rd to 4th and 5th. I usually always shift around 3000-3500rpms.
Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks James

1st problem- go to a auto glass place and have them reurethane the window(must be a gap in the sealeant)
2nd problem- you can retorque the axel nuts ( think its 150 ftlbs)
3rd problem-try cleaning the throttle body and the maf sensor

3rd problem sounds either like a dirty MAF sensor or throttle body...or it could be just the pcm's reaction to the stft's. That's a common issue with the lsj. What are your current mods???
This ^^
you could go and take out the carpet in the trunk and pop out the sunroof drains have someone take a hose around the sunroof and see if the water is actually making it to the end of the drain.
PS- have something to catch the water in too

Thanks for all the help. I ended up cleaning the throttle body today, took it for a test drive afterwards and the sputtering was gone thank god since this has been bothering me for some time now. Tomorrow I will try fixing the problem with the clicking in the drivers side wheel and maybe try and check the sunroof drains since every time it rains the inside of my car gets soaked.
Thanks James
