Torque app? and bluetooth adapter possibly effecting car.

In theory could the torque app my phone or elm adapter be throwing some sort of feedback to the computer.
I know its a long stretch but could it be since the app can clear default codes etc?

No. NONONONO

just NO.

As you decided to put 1939 Studebaker in your garage we have no clue what you're driving and can't help. Good job outsmarting yourself there.

YES it does, if i ever had the engine on and went to clear my PO420 and then i unplugged it while its still on.. soon after the tranny wouldn't shift right and gauges went crazy. I got a video and made a thread a while ago about it.

Wow
Did it clear up after a key off and then on or battery disconnect? or did the dealer have to reflash the software?

Also did you mean that this happened to your car when you pulled the adapter while the obd2 adapter was sending info? Not receiving a signal to clear the code?

guess I should drop in here and mention that
my car ended up throwing the same codes with our without the torque app and adapter active
All I can say is if you have not tried the torque app and you have an android phone try it
you will be amazed at how much data can be pulled off of this setup

sorry for the non chevy video lol

No, pushing anything over the interface won't mess with the ECU. Torque doesn't have that capability anyway. Your adapter shouldn't be able to either, though you can pull it and check.

I agree but torque can clear codes so I guess technically it can change car info but doubt it does as you mentioned

I pulled over at a gas station and just took the key out and opened to door so it would go off all the wyy. when I turned it back on it was perfectly fine.

And no i had cleared it while driving then exited it out on my phone(turned bluetooth off) and then unplugged it.
