TPMS Incorrect
TPMS Incorrect
So its not a huge deal, but it is a little irritating, the other day my car was making noise at me telling me that one of my tires was low. On my RPD and DIC it was shown as my front left tire being the low one. I pumped up the pressure on the tire, and kept checking the RPD and DIC to see how instantanious the change was. After my handheld tire guage was showing me over 40psi, and my RPD and DIC were still showing me around 24, I decided to reset the system to see if it would update. Once I reset it, it was still the same, but I then noticed the my right rear tire pressure was well over 40psi. Needless to say, ALL of the tire pressures are showing for the wrong tire. I was just curious if this was a factory default, something that could happend during tire change/rotation (doubtfull), or if anyone else has any other ideas. Like I said, its not a huge deal, but I would like it to be correct if there is a simple fix.
From my experience. Every time I get my tires rotated the sensors move with the rotation.. It's too bad it can't tell where each sensor is actually located... From what I understand it's not able to but maybe we are just having issues?
There is a procedure in the owners manual to relearn the sensors to the correct corners.
Here it is from a Malibu forum, it is the same for our cars.
