TPMS kicked the bucket

in the middle of driving the other day i got the message, "svc tire monitor" and my tire light went on. My RR shows no psi.

can anyone gimme a part number or two for replacing the tire pressure sensors?
and does it matter which 'style' they come in? Theres a clamp in and a snap in style and idk which one we have for the 08 ss/tc.

thanks

these are definately the same for all 200-8-2010 SS/TC...

Lemme see if I can get you a part number...

Montana SV6 DTS STS Corvette HHR Impala Tire pressure sensor TPMS *new kit* OEM | eBay

^^that one appears to be correct - it has the green base, and same casted part number as the single loose one I have here...

But CED seems to indicate that the actual part number is different;
Tire Pressure Monitor 19159784

I'd suggest you contact CED to see what the actual part number is, and pricing that way - there are a couple other retailers who might be able to slightly undercut CED - but CED is a supporting vendor, and always wiling to help - in my books that should deserve a small premium.

Tech 2 should be able to disable it. But for safety reason some places won't. Or they make u sign an agreement to save their asses

I had one changed out on my bumper-to-bumper warranty...

Vince (Trifecta) was apparently working on disabling the warnings for cars running w/o TPMS ~ but last time I talked to him about it, I came to understand that he had it mostly figured out - but kinda stopped because of lack of interest in it as a selling point.

yeah it's pretty stupid.

that's your government meddling in private business for ya... err, us all.

I have a potential client who just before purchasing her TC (private sale) the rims were stolen - so she has never had TPMS ~ can you believe she's gotten used to that annoying "service tire" warning the DIC flashes on every start up (ect)??

I would love to hear that this feature get's finished, but I'm just not seeing enough general interest for Vince to probably see it through - so I'm not going to pester him for it.

TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring) disable in the works!

If you have a 2007-2010 GM LNF vehicle (Solstice/Sky, Cobalt or HHR) and you have the annoying TPMS light on (tire pressure monitoring system) due to your aftermarket wheels and would like it disabled, keep watching our site - we will have this available in a short time!

itd be nice if there was a easy way to tune it out than re enable it. Example. winter i have my stock wheels with TPMS sensors. no problem. where summe/spring i have my 18's and no sensors because they dont fit. wish i could disable tpms so id have no warning. i have a SS cluster with LED's installed the member who made it for me covered the light so i dont see it, just the DIC warning. than enable TPMS for winter
