tranny leak

OK, so i have a small trans leak on my 06 ss/sc. its nothing major, just a little bit annoying. i was wondering if there is anything i can do(besides taking the trans apart to replace the seal, or tightening the bolts which ive already tried.)

heres a pic of where i have the leak at

did your leak happen after a hard launch or wheel hop? if so may be a cracked bell housing and the fluid gos to the lowest spot. any clutch slip?

no the clutch is fine. i bought the car with it. if the housing was cracked i would expect a pretty sizable leak right? i have looked at it pretty closely and it doesn't seem to be coming from higher up, although next time im under it ill defiantly make sure.

not necessarly, it could be a small crack, but the best and in my opinion the solution is to re-seal it if it is not cracked, a additive would just be a bandaid and would not be a longterm fix.

do you have any idea on the cost for a shop to do that kind of work, i think that would be a little over my head.

I bet $20 it's the axle seal leaking down into that spot...

you know what. i think you might be right. when i got the car i noticed a little bit of wetness up there, at the time i thought it was just some water(had been driving in the rain) but that could be it.
