Tranny Maintence

I have a 06 2.4ss. I can't find my owners manual. whats the deal with maintenance on this auto tranny?

Well, I know on the manua transmissionl, it calls for the trans fluid to be changed out at 50k. But in my friend's '05 Focus's manual, it says to do it at 100k.....lol. I have 59k on my car and i've yet to change the trans fluid.....but its on my to do list as soon as I get the money to do it. Not so sure about the auto's though.

50k and i've done quite a few of these already, mine included. we use the t-tech at work and on this trans that's literally like 10mins and you're done. for the sake of your trans do it before you start shaving the gearing to ****. a lotta folks either put it off to long or don't do it at all then sell the cars claiming all the maintainence work was done.

i thought our trannies were good for 100k. w/e, 50k is still damn good. Im sure sharkey will show here with definitive answers as well.

lol i'm at 60k on original trans fluid. But i'm having it changed very soon, as well as having my radiator flushed

i haven't flushed the radiator yet however it did get drained when i had to replace the thremostat. that was fun but well worth the trouble.

auto zone but you can't flush it without a t-tech machine or some other trans flushing device.
