When I let off the gas in 5th gear sometimes it pops back into neutral. Had it into the dealer last Thursday but they test drove it and it never happened so they did nothing. I had the car back to the dealer today and took the Shop Foreman for a ride but it didnt happen. He is going to see if any other ppl are having problems of a similar nature and let me know later today what's going on. So I said I'd pop on here and see if I can get any help from you guys as to what might be the problem. It doesnt happen all the time it just seems like it's when I let off the gas but not all the time lol.

 

I read that some guys had a hose of some sort putting pressure on the shifter linkage.
Do you notice any extra pressure when putting it in 5 th gear.

 

I just sounds to me like something is keeping if from going all the way into gear or putting pressure on the shifter to push it out of gear.

Get the dealer to adjust the shifter??

 

Went back to the dealer and saw the Shop Foreman again. After making some quick calls he said that someone said if these cars are driven hard after awhile it needs adjusting or something. Anyways I got it booked for Wednesday so I'll let you know how it turns out.

Had the car in wednesday and they adjusted the cables I think and test drove it. Tuesday it was alright and never slipped out on the way or from work. Drove to work Thursday no prob it felt like the shifter was a little tighter but on the way home twice right in a row she slipped out...

 

i'm having the same problem just started yesterday no 5th gear. Has it happened to you
since your visit to the dealer and did it cost you anything to get it adjusted?
