Hey Guys, recently I havent been able to open the trunk with the button on the key remote. When I press it the lights flash but it doesn't unlock. Do you guys have any idea whats wrong and how to fix it? Remote is working fine, since I can alarm it and the lights still flash when i press it. Its that important but its annoying having to open it with the key everytime.

 

can it open with the button on the inside of the car ?

 

i would check your fuses. this has happened to me when I messed with a couple wires in the trunk harness, and it was just a blown fuse in the engine compartment fuse box.

 

which is why i asked that to see if it was getting an electric signal through the car to the trunk release

 

i figured as much. the trunk button in the car would not work as well. if that's the case, check that fuse i just circled.

I have noticed when I first got my new car is that if you press the trunk release quick it does nothing. If you hold it down then the trunk opens. You just have to hold it down a little longer than if you just unlock the doors. Just a little something I have noticed.
