Trunk Tumbler Not Moving

Hello,

The tumbler in my trunk lock will not move. The latch releases with the button in the car, and it releases with the fob, but it will not turn when I put the key in.

Does anyone know of a way to fix this, or perhaps a how-to/walk through?

Thanks kindly,

Car is: 2006 Cobalt SS (4 door, automatic)

Does the key turn at all for you? Or is it stuck so the key wont even rotate? Mine wont even rotate.

just a thought, maybe previous owners did a trunk swap without swapping the key tumblers.

Could just be rusted if you never use it and dont lubricate ever. Rock some wd-40 in there and gently work that key.
