trunk wont open

i have the 2.4 ss cobalt with the 2.0 wing that was installed by the dealer before i even bought the car, when i go to pop my trunk it unlocks so i can kinda open it but i cant really fit my fingers underneath it. my friend has a 2.2 and his trunk pops open really high and is easy to open, anyone else had this problem? i am taking it to the dealer on the 22 to see if they can fix this

You've just now tried to open the trunk??

Mine dosen't open that far.... it's kinda a squeeze to get my fingers under it... I think it may be due to the extra weight of the spoiler. Good luck with a fix.

i had the ss spoiler on my trunk and it just went up w/ a little pressure. now that i have my CF trunk lid it flys up haha. and w/ it being so light you actully have to put some muscle in to it to shut it. not like when i had it b4 a lil push would close it.

mine just pops, doesn't swing up and its hard to get fingers under it. my Z was the same way when i added the NISMO wing, so i think its because of the extra weight.

I have a 2.4 with the wing and i had it dealer installed as well. My trunk pops but i can't get my fingers under it. I just use the spoiler to ge it up enough for the shocks to push it the rest of the way, no problem... let me know what the dealer says though... maybe more powerul pistons to push it up???

Haha, same thing. Dont try to fit your fat fingers under there (JK), just lift it up using the sides of the spoiler. It wont hurt anything, your spoiler is bolted on good. Hehe... Im glad someone else brought this up... its funny as hell seeing my roommates trying to get into my truck. Always leaving their purses in the back... haha... good times good times...

I just lift up on both edges of the wing, so I dont flex it and all that fun stuff.. Much easier then trying to fit my fingers in the trunk lid gap
