my turbo won't even get to 0 psi. I've read a lot on here explaining that this could be a ic problem, which i will look into. but also if it turns up that i do need to replace my ic, am i better off with an aftermarket replacement? maybe go head with different piping as well? my engine is throwing 8 codes. i can't find a mech around here that really seems to know what to do and I'm not trying to waste more money on something thats not fixing the problem.

 

Post the codes and check the connections to the IC and your charge piping

 

i appreciate any/all advice and willingness to help from anyone.. ill update you with all exact codes asap. but for now i know it has gas cap code, low purge, system low voltage, and a cpm fault.

im assuming that it is possible my pcm is bad and needs reflashing or replacing, I'm guessing that could definitely keep many things from running correctly but I've been to 3 mechs who all seem as clueless as myself.

 

what boost gauge u got? does the gauge just read 0 psi, but u notice u have power still or is it 0 psi and no power. 0 psi and no power could either be a huge boost leak, turbo done, which im sure ud hear, or ur wastegate is stuck wide open or pcm opening it for some reason, that where codes will help

 

It's the original boost gauge.. Usually runs like 15 or 16 psi.. Doesn't sound the turbo is messed up.. But I can hear a lot of air going somewhere when you rev. There's a significant amount of power loss because I never pull any boost but it will drive like it's in limp mode. Turbo doesn't spool at all.. I won't be able to post the codes til later I'm out of town working.

 

If you can hear it and its not making power then there is a leak somewhere.
