TVS -Arrived

Ok well i bought a TVS from a member on here ... it arrived.

Was not informed that the SCIP Sensor was missing prior to the buy, so i was a little pissed off to say the least when it arrived.

(there is a paypal claim in the works)

In the meantime, does anyone have any idea how this can be fixed...

- Talking it over with 06blackg85ss, we came up with this:

Re-Tap the hole where the sensor goes in, put a 90* brass fitting in there, run a few inches of hose then plug the sensor into the hose. Tuck it down under the radiator support.

Now i also attached a video of the blower being hand spun .... let me know what you guys think of the condition ...

how it arrived with a screw in the hole:

is it worth me fixing up ? or should i get my $$ back and continue to look for another ?

The rotors seem to be spinning freely (good thing).

Is there any shaft play?

They do seem a little noisy to me as well....

I would take it apart, and inspect the coupler & gears. Just for piece of mind.

How much did you pay for it if you dont mind me asking? Thats crappy that the seller didnt mention what he did to the blower.

That's messed up. Might be something you should consider; just get your money back and look elsewhere.

Will the cost to repair it outweigh looking around for another tvs or even considering buying new through Ottp? How many miles were on the unit when you bought it? Was meth ran through it as well? Also will you be happy with the repair you mentioned doing is another thing to consider...

i dont want to throw out the price i paid for the blower just yet, paypal dispute is still in progress.

But the price i paid is what my friends paid for their TVS's with the same miles, condition.

The only issue with this is that the missing sensor spot was not properly portrayed. (its great for the NA guys but not for me).

It did have meth ran through it, and i was told about 20k miles on it.

I asked for $200 back from the seller to cover repair costs and crap and i was told "No".

but i mean i paid for something and im getting the short end of the stick so i put a claim into Paypal for the entire refund.

i talked to Josh, he wont have any more units in stock until Sept. and the other TVS vendors are asking about 2200 for the units ... so yea this was much cheaper to get it used but at this point i will continue to search for another once i get the $$ back.

why not just post the price? Doesn't really make a difference.

the thing has had 20k miles ran on meth and had some getto bolt screwed in. if you keep it "repair" it and then it messes up your going to be spending more money down the road. i say you return it. get some more funds and get a regurlar one thats probably going to have less abuse.

That is crappy. I was kicking myself for not beating you to the punch and grabbing this. Sorry to hear this happened, surely you will get your money back and neither of us will be screwed in our next venture to get a TVS. Maybe we can both buy one at the same time for a discount?

yeah im so pissed you have no idea .... paypal claim is in and waiting for the seller to respond ... now i have to wait 10 days .

Josh should have more 1320's in by Sept he said so i may grab one from him... Intense racing said he can have one to me in a week for 2200 and DDM works has them for 2350 ... ill weigh my options.

If anyone wants this one, 1700 shipped and its yours or i will get my $$ back.

No joke. I would be pissed as well. At least you have the ability to fix the issue though, that is what should be important.
