TVS boost problem

alright, i searched around and found some answers. they didnt help. so the problem is... ive had the harrop on for a few months now and i just swapped to the stock supercharger actuator so i could limit boost in first gear. i have a 3.1 stock pulley on right now. after i put this on the car wouldnt boost over 15-16 lbs and it would flutter when it got to that point. so i put the harrop one back on....same thing happens. i did the bypass mod and it gets to about 20, so would that mean the soleniod is bad? but i switched that out with a known working one. and its still fluttering. ive checked my boost gauge lines all vacuum lines, ajusted the actuator in several positions. so what else could be my problem?

possible stretched headbolts. mine was doing the same thing, opened up the valve cover and the headbolts were stretched around #1 cylinder

no not necessarily. mine was pretty much ok anything under 8psi, when i went wot it would flutter.

not saying that it wasn't leaking at 8psi or less, but it was not as observable as over 8psi on the boost gauge.

and i'm not saying this is definitely your problem. you should start with eliminating simple things, like the boost bypass actuator to make sure that is still good. do a compression test. other things like that
