unknown sensor with nothing attached

I was taking my supercharger off today to replace the coupler, and I noticed there is a sensor in front of the TB that has what looks like a hose attachment on it, but has nothing attached to it. I looked around and didn't see any loose hoses or anything. The sensor I'm talking about shares the same wiring harness as the TB. Anyone have any idea what this sensor is and what it's suppose to be connected to?

Don't have a pic on hand, but I'll see if I can get one up when I get off work. When I said it uses the same harness, I mean that if you trace back the TB harness about 8 inches there is a branch of it that runs to this sensor, not the same wires exactly, but it comes out of the same wiring harness jacket if you know what I mean.

It's an '07 if that makes any difference.

Update

I referenced the numbers on the sensor and it appears to be a MAP sensor. My guess as to why there is nothing attached is that it's for a baseline reading? Can anybody confirm this?

Would somebody mind going and looking at their car and telling me if there is anything attached to this sensor, and if so where does it go? This is driving me crazy...lol

it's a barometric pressure sensor....basically does the same thing as a MAP...but just reads atmoshpheric pressure as a reference point.

thanks guys, I kinda figured it might just be used for a reference point reading. Thanks for clearing that up. I was worried there for while that it might actually need to be hooked into the intake or something.

Yep, baro pressure sensor.

From my understanding, the only time it's used is for a couple startup fueling maps, I don't think it does anything once the car is running.
