Problems/Service/Maintenance Do you have problems with your new 2.0, 2.2, or 2.4L? What kind of service did you have done?

Valve tick???

For awhile now i have this ticking noise coming from the pasenger side of the engine and it sounds like a valve tap... It does it when i startit up but only for like a minute or 2 then goes away.. Any one else have this. I have an 05 SS/SC...

Yeah i'm pretty sure everyone has that aspecialy in the cold.

Typical of Chevy motors. Takes a minute to get oil to the top end.

It's all good. We have super silky synthetic. No worries.

yea i think its a GM think. my sunfire does the same thing then once its warmed up its fine.

I first noticed it when it was warm... I didnt know of anyone else having this.. Its just annoying!!!!!!!
