Void Warrenty

Can GM Void a bump to bumper warranty because of hail damage? It was properly repaired by an insurance company.

The dealership told me the warranty was voided because of "major hail damage". I was um....Currently we are waiting for GM Customer service to call back. He called up about it, especially since my problem wouldn't have been caused by hail damage.

They can only void the part of the waarranty that covered what was repaired. The rest of your bumper to bumper is still good.

They would probably void the part related to the hail damage (paint). Just because it was fixed doesn't mean its factory quality, factory brand, or that gm did the repair.

Didn't a bunch of 2008's have this issue? Of course that would be out of the 3 yr/36k mile (I think) bumper to bumper warranty by now.

Nope clear title. I don't really care about the paints warrenty. The stupid Airbag light is on becuase of that PPS sensor or w/e. It's the seatbelt causing it and from the looks of it I'm spending ~500$ on this danm thing.

They weren't written off, or salvage titled, all had the repair fixed. You can't salvage title a car before it's sold, they were all damaged at the factory. I had one of those hail damage cars. Clean title, could never tell anything ever happened to it. It was a buch of 08s that were outside at the factory waiting to be shipped when a hail storm hit.

PPS sensor? What's that? Also, you could try a different dealership, but be sure to try contacting GM customer service. In no way should hail damage void any warranty relating to the interior of the car. Hell, I don't think the car being in a collision would do that.

Thanks for correcting me. I thought gm had totaled them out as an insurance claim.
