Warranty Question

I have an '07 SS/SC. What kind of factory warranty do I have? I have 43k miles, so I know the 36k bumper to bumper is over. Do I have the 5yr/100k powertrain or the 5yr/60k powertrain warranty? I bought the car used so is the powertrain warranty transferable? I've read a few posts that say it is not, and a few that say it is. Can anyone give me a definitive answer? Reason I ask is I have the dreaded timing tensioner problem, and I would like to have the dealer take care of it if possible. If not, I can easily fix it myself, but I'd rather not spend the cash if it's still under warranty.

If you bought it Certified used, you have a 12/12 warranty beyond the 3/36 as well as the powertrain warranty.

Thanks guys, and I'm assuming the powertrain warranty is transferrable? Do I need any special warranty papers or anything?

Thanks for all the info guys. Think I'm going to tackle this one myself since the part is so cheap and easy to replace. No telling how long the stealership will want to keep my car to fix this problem. I know I can fix it myself in less than 2 hrs tops. Plus I don't have to listen to them try and BS me about all the other "problems" the car supposedly may have. That's one of the main reasons I hate taking my car to the shop. I guess the only way I would take it in is if when popping off the valve cover I see that it needs additional parts. Hopefully not though.

Happy Turkey Day!
