Weird exhaust noise with new intake

I installed the K&N TYPHOON 69 intake system on my 2010 SS and now, when im at 3k RPM or higher driving and hit the clutch, (which seems to be more stiff?) a WEIRD noise almost like a pop sound comes from exhaust.

Also, I hear a constant clicking noise coming from the engine.

Anyone know wats wrong before i take to an auto shop?

the clicking is the direct injection, and turbo engines pop. See example of my exhaust vid

YouTube - Cobalt SS/TC Muffler Delete Exhaust Clip

mind you that's stock downpipe just muffler delete, same idea though.

Now that I have a catless downpipe and added a muffler I get some REALLY loud pops sometimes, sounds cool though.

The pop isn;t like the one in your vid, its hard to explain the noise but happens at exhaust when i go to cluch in and shift at 3k+ rpm.

yeah I quickly looked before and guage was going towards the right

EDIT: its at 0 when idle and when i start driving it goes to 40 on the right
EDIT2: actually , the knock on bottom LCD stays at 0, the gauge is showing the spark advance, so I dont think knock is the problem

I brought it into a shop to have my suspension fixed and asked them about it. They didn't actually drive the car to test but said it was normal.

They suggested I get a wastegate? Sounds like car hiccups when i let foot off gas at high RPM... stupid sound maybe i'll go back to stock intake.

a turboes car will pop ecspecially when you start modding it. Think.. A boosted car pushes air out faster then what a n/a does correct. Well a turboes car works off of a spinning wheel that creates poitivce pressure, so when you let off the clutch and you dont have to be in boost your cars turbo will then spool down causing a sort of backup of exaust pressur so thereofr causing the pop. I guess this is the easiest way to explain it. oh yeah and get it tuned !!!

No!!!!!! the hiccup sound is normal because of the open filter design the factory bypass is louder.

yeah thats not your issue, dont worry about it your car is fine. the chirp when you let off is the bpv and the ticking noise is direct injection

After going through some youtube videos trying to find something that resembles it, I stumbled across this.
YouTube - 09 Cobalt SS, stock turbo BOV w/ aem cai.

The two sounds occur at :02 and :11

Anyway to get rid of it?

Yeah dude, that`s the stock bypass valve.....You really need to do some research on the car you own and the mods you are buying for it. I actually thought this thread was a joke in the beginning......
