Weird gear issue...

I'm having a weird issue with my car, every once in a while my car won't go into first gear. I have to take my foot off the clutch two or three times before it will finally let me put it in gear. I have no idea what could be doing it. Any help would be awesome!

Reason I ask this, Mine will do this at a stop light and all I do is throw it in either 2nd or 3rd whatever it goes in easier then back through to 1st and it goes in just fine... I'm use to an older chevy truck so I just always assumed this was normal. i mean it may happen to me once a month or so in my car.

Mine used to do it about once a month or so too but its slowly been getting more common and yes it is from a stand still like a stop sign or a red light. Its starting to get really annoying

Damn, thats the last thing I need right now. I'm just going to put it on the lift here at work and have one of the techs just take a peek at it, I'll prob have the oil changed out too and see what happens....

changing mine made a noticeable difference. it shifts smoother and just feels better. also check for how many metallic flakes are in the fluid.

if you have to pump the clutch are you low on fluid or is there air in the lines? try bleeding it.

Update: Well it has brand new oil in it and has been bled. He drove it around and said that it feels normal now, I'll see how it feels on the drive home and see if it happens in the next couple of days.
