Hello I have a cobalt ss sc with 60k miles. only mod is the Air-box mod...


Anyways, recently when driving my car, when I go to push in the clutch and just coast to a stop, instead of falling to normal idle rpms, my car falls all the way down to almost 500, sputters, almost dies, then revs up to like 1100 or 1200, then falls back down to 500 or so.. and it keeps doing this for about 3-4 times as it slowly returns to normal.

It's gotten to the point that even if I put it in reverse to back out of a parking spot, and then push in the clutch or if I need to move my car a few feet and I push the clutch in, the car dies.

It has a pretty fresh tune up, and hasn't started doing this until lately and it seems to be getting worse.. Some days it will be completely fine... I am thinking something to do with an idle sensor or something.

Thoughts?

 

Possible dirty throttle body/mass air flow sensor.

 

I'll go on in I guess and try cleaning the throttle body. I hear they are kinda picky to clean?
