So just tonight I decided to listen to the car then my radio...i notice as I'm driving down the road I hear this whine...so i put the car in nuetral and its still there...i also noticed that as I slow down the whine goes down with it....whats causing this nosie?
**on a side note when im at about 35-40 it makes this werid inbetween thump/thud noise that goes with the rotation of the tires..**

if the tires are cuped it could make a whining noise. run your hand ove the tread surface of the tire and if it feels rough you may need an alignment to correct the cupping and then just drive and it should eventually go away. also if there is a broken belt it could make the thumping and the whining. look for bulges on the tires...inside and outside sidewalls.

I get the whine on highway driving mostly, but I would describe it as more of a howl and it changes with the surface. For instance on the new fresh highway surface its gone, on the older but still good surface it returns. I dont worry about it, the stereo makes it all go away.
