Wet Floor
Wet Floor
Just noticed after all this rain we've been getting that my passenger side floor was soaking wet on my 06 2.4 SS with a sunroof. There is no visible evidence of where the water came from, the front of the carpet by the firewall is dry. I vaccuumed out as much water as I could with the shop vac and set a fan up blowing on it. I then blew out the front pass side sunroof drain with an airgun.
The same thing happened a while back on my old Saturn and I blew out the sunroof vents and it seemed to fix it........
I'm emailing the manager at my dealership (whom I'm friends with) about it right now.
Anyone else have this issue?

Have you been running your A/C a lot?
If so, look there. The condenser has a tendency to build up excessive moisture and backflow into the passenger side floorboard. I am not sure if gthe overflow tube gets blocked, or just overwhelmed with condensation. This problem is typical with Saturns too, because we use the same A/C condenser. GM is aware of the problem and has not come up with a solution yet (no surprise there, just like the brakes in these cars). It is a design flaw...it is common in the southern states where humidity is a factor too. I was told this by my dealership in Florida, and to be aware that I might have "flooding" issues since I moved down here.
Just an fyi, may not be your problem though.

Also....chevy sunroofs are notorious for plugged drain holes. Make sure your drain holes aren't plugged with any kind of debris. It happens to the monte carlo just about every month, especially in fall. If that doesn't work make sure the seal didn't go bad
