Wheel Hop, what to do during????
well theres a few post about how to avoid wheel hop. BUT, what do you do while experiencing wheel hop? when i get it is when i shift in to 2nd gear and thats when i experience it. even pushing the clutch doesnt really stop it, i have to shift in to 3rd to get over it. your thoughts
yeah just get off the gas and shift to the higher gear but if you feather the clutch when you launch...you shouldnt have a problem art. But that is not good neither...so i suggest dont do any.
atm the moment i get it during 2nd gear. i ve tried letting of the gas but it really didnt stop it, but shifting to 3rd takes care of it for the most part. it happen to me big time this morning. i must say, it is totally embarrassing!!!! jerking like that.
yae i know what ya mean id get it in 1st then hard shift in second it would happen sometimes.. i got solid motor mounts an traction bars to fix that lol... but i us to let of the gas then ease back on it an it would stop..
yeah stock, just got it a week ago, just close to 500 miles. i m going to start pushing her a little more. just need to get the traffic out of my way!

if i shift right i avoid it. i was out with her this morning and i think after a week of having her we re finally getting use to one another. also i think i ve finally got my seat where it needs to be!
I think I know what your talking about. If so, it's not really wheel hop. My wife does it alot cuz she likes sitting as far back as possible but she is pretty short and she doesn't plant her foot too well on the floor. While shifting, if she pops the clutch just a little bit the car starts to lunge forward and then she gets off the gas just a tad. When that happens her foot starts to move ever so slightly cuz it's not really resting on the floor too good. Then the car starts to decelerate a little which makes her foot go back on the pedal again. And that process repeats itself pretty fast. That along with the slack of the stock tranny mounts and motor mounts makes the car kinda bunny hop a little bit.
If you push the clutch in it dont help. And if you get off the accelerator it dont really help. The only real help once you start the bunny hopping is to upshift in to 3rd gear.
Is that what your talking about?

oh and its is the possessive of it. it's is it is.
And your definition of It's is kinda nuts. "it's is it is". Try saying that 3 times as fast as you can.

Well if we are going to pick on him for spelling and grammar, lets at least give the right correction.
It's AN SS supercharged

And I wasn't trying to pick on him, just clarify a little bit.

Also, if you're in any gear but 1st, you can just accelerate out of it. 1st is a little touchier.
FWIW, bad wheel-hop will sound like you're driving down a set of stairs.
That sounds like what he's talking about. It happens when you're too quick in letting out the clutch or not smooth on the throttle. Solidifing the mounts will help prevent that, as will practice, practice, practice.
