Wheel Studs!!!
Well i bought a 2007 cobalt ls last year and i had to driv it in the winter so i went to a place called miller tire to get new winter tires cause i get discount there, so i got my new winter tires on my car, this summer i put my 17" rims on while doing this i broke 2 wheel studs by hand!!!
later when replacing them i broke yet another!!!
well i replaced all 4 on the driver side and left the passanger side as it was with the 3 old and one new.
well the other day when i droped my g/f off i noticed one wheel nut was missing so i was like no big deal i bought extras, i go to put it on well what happened... yet another one broke!
so im am pissed to the max and saif the hell with it i am taking it to the dealer, i get there they said not their problem, sence i got my wheels done somewhere else. thats so stupid, so all in all i spent over $100 on wheel studs and about 10 hours of my time putting them in all together.
anyone else have any problems like this?

Wheel studs are the screws that hold your wheel on that your lug nuts screw on to
the recomened torque specs are 100 foot pounds for aluminum rims

Are you using the right lug nut ?
There were posts about that awhile ago,You cant use the lugs from the steelies on the alumminum and vise versa or you will create this problem as well from what I under stand.
Can somebody back me up on this ?
