Question Wheel well rivets missing

Today I noticed I was missing a few of the plastic (or prolly nylon) rivets that secure the plastic inside the wheel wells, so I ran to Autozone to pick up a few. The guy at autozone told me that I was the 5th Chevy to come in that week looking for them.

I dunno if he was exaggerating, but has anybody else noticed these things missing from time to time?

LOL... in the first two months I had my car, i hit a HUGE DEEP puddle going about 70... never even saw the warning sign until i was in the water. The force ripped two of them out... GM replaced without charge.

Went through the car wash, and there they went. I just replaced them with some that fit a little tighter.
