Wierd Clunk On Drives Side

hey quick question guys my buddy has an ION and he has been getting a clunking noise it sounds like its coming from the passenger side. we hear it when he turns to the right sometimes, and we here more often when he goes over bumps or anything. On a good note we changed out his brakes for the first time after 70,000 and boy did he need a new set. He couldn't afford rotors too but he needs them asap...

anyway about the clunking i couldn't figure out where it was so i told him the best thing would be to get it checked out

sounds like either strut mount or more likely a stabilizer link, also know as sway bar link.

is the car louder too? like noticabley louder when driving? if so could be a wheel hub, bad bearing. also check control arm bushings and all other nuts n bolts down there.

IN january i had the same noise... had the drivers side link replaced. Not two months later, thanks to the baja course that passes for roads around here, the other side rattles. Found out that the replacement links are a different, updated part... (they even look different. the replacement is this beefy link where the old one looks... well, fragile)
