Window Seals

So I bring my car in this morning at 10AM for the dealer to fix the window seals. I tell him that the passenger window is hissing and that the seal is crossed over and on the inside of the window completely and instead of the window rolling up between the seal it rolls up between the metal of the frame and the seal.

...4 hours later they call me to tell me they identified the problem that the window seal is tucked inside of the window and that is causing the problem... 4 HOURS TO DIAGNOSE WHAT I TOLD THEM THE PROBLEM WAS!!!

His first question "Where did you get those tints done?" I told him they were done friday and I have the receipt to show such, being I made my appointment last wednesday, can't blame it on the tinting.

MAYBE... they will be nice enough to fix the problem in the next 4 hours

They will prob blame it on the tint. Most tint companies turns those seals in to get it out of the way when they tint.

Good luck on your wind noise.

I work at a GM dealership and am having troubles getting them to fix my wind noise on my 07. It's because I get the noise when ever I go above 90 MPH. They say I shouldn't be goin that fast anyways

Well its not the seal at the bottom of the window. Its the seal near the passenger mirror and it has been inside out since I bought the car. I even made the appointment last week before the tinting was done. If they don't do it, I guess I will have to head down to LI where I know someone in the Service Shop at a dealer. The noise is worst at like 80, but it makes noise as slow as 35.

If we shouldn't be going that fast, then why does the speedometer tell us we can and are?

They did and with no hassle... hopefully all is better now. BUT... the guys stopped paying attention to me this morning so the housing for my sunroof switch is still in my cup holder and the switch still pushes through the metal clip... guess I have to make another trip now..

On the side note... finally got to open my windows today and damn do they look sexy tinted... How did these cars not come tinted stock?
