Wiper delay being dumb?

Ok I just got my 06 Cobalt ss/sc a few weeks ago and the wipers when on delay will some times not delay.
When set to the shortest delay seting about 90% of the time they will just run as thou they where set to low.

My other complaint is that my gauge lights will not work during the day. This is normaly not a problem but some times when its raining or cloudy its hard to read the gauges.

Any one know what I should do about the wipers?
And is it normal for the gauges to do that? Can it be set not to do that?

Thanks

The delay wipers can increase speed depending on how fast you're driving. The lowest delay might step up two notches if you're doing 60 mph and function normally at 30 - 40 mph. The Cobalts have a speed sensitive wiper system. If you don't like the wipers moving so fast just fiddle with the delay until you're happy.

The dash lights not coming on in daylight conditions is normal. Personally I agree with you on the gauges limited visibility in some conditions.

Ok thanks^

One other thing. The other night I stoped at the gas station and as I came to a stop the car started to drop its idle from 900rpm to 600rmp and then go back to 900rpm. It did this about 4 times and then I reved it to 1,500 rmp and it leveled out at 900rpm and stayed there.

Any one know why it did this? It has done it a few times. Allways right after I come to a stop after driving for a while. And every time I have less the 1/2 a tank left?????

Thanks
