Angry Wiper Fluid!!

Earlier last week when it was around 8 degrees during the daytime, my wiper fluid froze. At first I thought no biggie, just give it a few hours in the sunlight and it'll be fine. It actually didn't thaw out for another 2 days, and this was while driving on wet roads with liquid salt...

It has even frozen with rain-x deicer being used.

Anyways, just wondering if anyone has seen anything similar to this? I mean, usually, it would happen to a car of mine once or twice a winter, but it's already happened 3 times and it's been long durations....

Joe

Mine froze, after 3 days of frozen wiper fluid I pulled it in the garage to let it thaw out and replaced it with the cheap stuff from Autozone and it hasnt frozen since.

I know, mine froze too. 2 mornings before work I had the furnace on in the garage with a fan directing it to the engine bay to 'thaw' out the fluid resivour (sp!). I had filled it with the Turtle Wax Fire & Ice before the snow hit (works awesome!) but I guess I still had some of the blue OEM from the factory in there.

My Golf has heated washer nozzles, works beautiful either with or without normal everyday blue washer fluid.

Coldest mine's seen overnight was about -20C (so ~-4F) and mine didn't have any problems with freezing up when I used the fluid the next morning to get the 12 inches of salt off my windshield ! It's always something that concerns me even though I do use winter fluid treated with teflon...yours just sounds like it's freezing a little prematurely.

It'd be nice if they had something like the C-6's do. It gets to 140 I believe.....it is the vettes that have that right..?? or am I mistaken..
