Ok so i was under my car and noticed that there was a melted wire. Started lookin and saw that it ran from the starter solenoid to thetop of the altenator.And it looks like it could be some type of sensor. Its been arching off my engine block(very dangerous) so my question is does anyone know what this wire might be, the part number, and or the rough price. thanx in advance. oh and the car is a 2.0 lsj 2007

 

If its a large diameter wire and red, its your positive cable for the alternator. Shouldn't cost a whole bunch to replace but I would highly reccomend getting it fixed ASAP.
