wreck the bolt
ok i got a ? i had wreck my 07 ls a about 3 weeks ago. They have already fix all the body work and then strated on the seat belts. After they took the seat belt out they found that where the conecter plugs together has blown apart so now they are saying that they have to replace the whole wire harness. So for that they want to go ahead and totaled my car. Are they just pulling my strings when the say cant just replace just the conecter?
to begian with they said it would take 8700 to fix it, the body shop wanted to totaled it but nation wide thought diff they asked my opion i said totaled it because i want a ss
They are not jacking with you. The wiring harness for the airbag sensors must be replaced. GM does not sell the individual connectors seperately for safety reasons. If they total your car they will pay you for whatever the retail value of your car is. I have been in a similar situation as that shop is. The shop will get paid for the work done, you will get paid for the value of the vehicle and the car will be auctioned off.

By the way, once the cost of repairs exceeds %75 of the car's retail value, that is when insurance companies usually total them out. The shops themselves have no control over totalling a vehicle. Only insurance companies can make that call.
if they totaled the car am i able to get my aftermarket parts?
i kinda figured that thou
what doesnt make seen hell my car is only booked for 11000 at the most ?

You can only keep your aftermarket parts if you tell the insurance company and shop exactly what parts you are taking and you must replace them with a stock part where applicable. For example, if you want to keep your aftermarket stereo, then you have to replace it with a stock one or else they will devalue your car.
