damn. I've hear those 2 little things being called so many different things. Actuators, Solenoids, Sensors and now Phasers...
Well I got the valve cover back on. Bolted down. Coil packs are in and bolted. Cam sensors are in, look good and reconnected. I'll finish up installing my charge pipes tomorrow and see if she fires up and I can clear the code and keep it gone...

changed my oil the other day, hoping it would get rid of CEL... came back ran a litter better. so i ordered the new sensors ( dealership said GM calls then "valves" lol ) yesterday. put in the new sensors today, seems to be running much smoother. no CEL yet. wish me luck ha
Hey iboost, you figure this out yet?
Did you happen to check the timing chain? See if it's loose or jumped a tooth on the intake side??
Also, a weird theory, but if all else fails there could be a good amount of carbon build-up on the back of the valves not letting them close completely... does the car run rough at idle or anywhere else?

Nope still haven't figured it out yet. I'll have to pull the valve cover again, but I didn't feel anything loose or see anything out of the ordinary. I seaformed the car right after I pulled the cover like 10000 miles ago...
