Matt, there is no need to call him. Steve is very prompt to answer pm's and emails. Plus you get better prices by contacting directly. Noticeably better.

Plus he has access to the stuff that might not be on the website yet (like higher performance Hawk brakes that may not be listed on their site but meet your needs better, since he is a distributor for them).

I got some stuff from him recently, very happy with it.

I need rotors and pads for a 2009 SS Front and rear. Slotted not drilled and mostly used on street. PM me Please!

 

PM'ing him usually works best. Or call him at the number in his sig.

Also, if you read back a few pages, people suggest to get OEM Ferodo pads, they work better than HPS for the front under heavy loads. Rear HPS work very well.

As for the rotors, going premium is worth it IMO since they coat the middle part of the rotor in a rust-proof black coating... looks cleaner over time.

 

R1 Concepts is having a Black Friday sale all weekend long except one problem - They don't have 09 Cobalt SS/TC front or even rear rotors listed on their website. The 20% off sale ends tomorrow on 11/25 and there is no way of ordering since they are closed. I sent an email to Steve and hope that the sale prices will still be honored.

PM me on the SS/TC premium rotors drilled/ slotted and Hawk pads, FR/RR . Is there a diff in the drilled/ slotted, and dimpled/ slotted rotors? How are the hawk pads on brake dust?

 

Dimples are a bit stronger because you are not drilling completely through the rotor. Hawk HPS pads are lower dust than semi metallic but more dust than ceramics. PM sent on pricing.

Installed these about 3 weeks ago. Brakes work great! I'm a happy repeat (x4) customer. Will definitely order again! (The spots on the wheel are raindrops on a dusty plasti-dipped wheel)
