this **** was great. little costly. $20.99 plus tax. took me a while but thats cuz i did it by hand. a little advice tho, try to NOT get this on your hands that much. This **** will not come off. I did it almost a week ago and i still have a little bit under my nails and a couple spots in the cracked/callous parts of my fingers. i would take some pictures but where i'm working i have to drive thru some mud so it looks like **** once again. go figure right?

I'm sure it would look A LOT better with a buffer and such, but even by hand, it looked really good. I used the turtle wax ICEE the last 2 summers i think and that stuff was easier and it still looked really good. This black box stuff pretty much made the ICEE look like a halfway decent wax job. Only reason i'd go back to the ICEE is cuz its easier.

Just used it recently on my black SS and a friends G6. Stuff really works miracles, made my car look hella fresh. The G6 had so many swirl marks and **** but it really made those go away. Took me around 4 hours to wash and wax my cobalt by myself. And maybe around 3 hours for me and my buddy to wash n wax his G6. Definitely worth it tho!

i just put this stuff on yesterday, my second time using it and its the best stuff out there for black cars, i have a ton of swirls marks and it makes it go away , ALL OF THEM. when i used turbo wax the first time it brought out all the swirl marks on my car, i mean its good but not for cars with swirl marks. black box gives you the shine and removes the swirl marks. downside is it takes about 2 hours to do to the car.

i like that spoiler on the black balt^

ive been reading detailing forums and whatnot. general consensus is that colored wax is a scam. its just when u have nicks and **** in your paint, the wax is that color so when it dries in the nick it isnt white. if u fully detail ur car and keep the paint in good condition though u shouldnt have those nicks and it doesnt make a difference

tl;dr colored waxes = marketing scam.

I got the Meguiars Ultimate Compound for now. For a quicker job. Supposed to do a full paint restore. And for 10 bucks, I hope so. I got it for the Cobalt and the Olds.. But gonna go for a Black Box later in the summer..

let me know how that ultimate compound works. i planned on hitting my car with swirl x and than color x soemtime sonn. my black is still glossy, but the hood has MANY dings in the clearcoat from highway driving, also swirls all over the car. also gotta get touchup paint for some deeper dings.. fml

**** no, I'm gonna take the huge bowtie off my neighbor's brand new truck and slap it on there...

Yea I will, I have a plan. I have an addiction to "Chevrolet Orange" engine paint...I have decided that once I find a powdercoat to match this color everything I can think of will be powder coated starting with calipers and valve cover. Why? Cuz I'm cool like that. There was a time I had to pull the engine on a 97 blazer and I thought to myself "why leave it black" at least when I sell it nobody on earth could argue with me about pulling the motor. Chevy Orange FTMFW.

its all a scam..you dont buffer your paint!!! YOU BUFF YOUR CLEAR COAT!! your clear coat is not black and dont be waxing and buffing on your stuff all the time. its not good for your car at all. theres only so much there to wax and buff. maybe every 2-3 months you can buff...wax is wax period.

I tried black box the other day. Its not a bad wax but there is far better waxes available out there. I do have to say Black Box hides scratches pretty well because of the black colored wax. I still prefer Meguiars NXT wax over black box.

If you have a black car. There is no better solution.

Side note: wear the shitiest clothes you can, because they will be ruined. Also, be prepared to spend about 4 hours on this process.

i just picked up this stuff and hopefully if i get the time i will do it this weekend. I am wondering though can it be used on plastic, like the plastic part on the mirrors and what about the rubber strip on the side of the car?
