My buddy used the black box and it didnt please him at all. I personally use Ice by Turle Wax and he will continue to use that as well.

I didn't get a chance to do it yet, but i have been hearing it does great with swirls and really does take it to a deeper level of black. The downfall i have heard is that it doesn't give much shine. Would it be a bad idea to use the black box and then use maguires after.?

Dont waste your money...Black Box did absolutely nothing for my bike...NXT 2.0 does a much better job on hiding swirls...

I could only really see it being benificial is if your paint was really faded it may bring the colour back slightly..

I used this the other day to get ready for the GM Employee Car Show at the Tech Center and it did a FANTASTIC job! My car has 107,000 miles and has only been in a "brush" car was a couple times so the swirl marks were few and far between anyway, but this stuff took the black to a new level! The DOI was amazing! I put it on with an orbital and then took it off by hand with a microfiber towel and it only took a couple hours.

Understand that you are polishing the clear so the black shouldn't really do much but when you think about that the white waxes fill in the cracks too, it makes sense on the black cars. I had some deep scratches and fixed those by using 2,000 Grit wet sanding and then a polishing compound and they came out great. I had a whole bunch of little nicks on the hood from road debris so I just hit the hood with the random orbital and some of the polish - it turned out TERRIBLE! The polish got in every little tiny pit on the hood and it looked like it had a white rash! Hit it with the Black Box and it cleaned it right up. Sorry I don't have any before and after but based on the opinions of others that saw it, it is a noticeable improvement!
