Cloudy Paint...help!

A while back i got a huge scrape on the rear wheel well on the drivers side; i thought it wouldnt be able to rub out, but none the less tonight when i was bored i gave it a go. amazingly the scrape came out. i used turtle wax compounding rub or something like that and it came out easily. afterwards i noticed that a few minor spots looked cloudy instead of shiny like the rest of the black paint; i followed the directions btw. anyways i washed that portion of the car and still looks a bit cloudy. i then used polishing wax on the portion of the car that needed it and nothing happened. it doesnt look bad, but it doesnt look as good as i would like...what should i do to remove the cloudiness in the paint? sorry guys, i didnt take pics (i was too embarrassed by the huge scrape haha)

Maybe the scrape took off the clear or a good part of it , the clear coat is super thin ..

I think you just have a lot of microfine scrathes from hand rubbing off the scrape. Need to have it buffed just in that spot and it will probably be OK.

Yes, the clear isn't ruined. You need to use a light polish with a Porter Cable buffer.
