Engine Bay Cleaning
Engine Bay Cleaning
So I was tired of my engine bay and blower looking like ****. I did a search (thats right....I did a search all by myself). I saw someone recommend using simple green. The pictures showed some results ....I was impressed enough to give it a shot. I also wanted to do a before and after shot. Guys this took me 10 minutes.
Of course wait for your engine to cool. Then drench it in simple green and let the solution soak for about 30-45 seconds (make sure it doesn't dry). Then I took a my dads pressure washer to it with it set on the lightest setting ....so be careful. Did this 3-4 times and got some decent results i think.... here is the before and after, you decide which is which

well i want to, but last time i tried cleaning my engine bay with just a regular hose and super shitty water pressure i ended up with water in cylinders 1,2, and 3. so im gonna pass on this. but it looks good, try some of the engine cleaner from autozone might work a little better.
Looking good Wolf!!!
Take care when cleaning in the engine bay, if anything is even slightly exposed, cover it with tape, and remove the tape after. Don't go nuts with the water. Once I've cleaned, I generally use the leaf blower to dry the engine bay. Then once properly dry I generally attack almost everything with Turbo Wax LVR. Very long handled artist type paint brushes (make sure the bristles are secure though, so you don't end up with bristles stuck on the piping) are great for detailing your engine bay, in those very hard to reach bits.
