Yea, the title says it, i got haters. don't we all?

Well straight to the point... my car broke down and that made me buy my cobalt ss, the old car just sits in front of my house. Well tonight somebody (I'm 18 and going into my senior year) took vaseline to the old car and spelled out things like "bitch, **** you, LOL" etc.... First time this has ever happened to me, I have no clue as to what triggered it....
Good thing I was out at a friend bday party with the balt....

What's the easiest way to get vaseline off ones car?? ITS A PAIN IN THE ASS

Did you try goo gone? That's never a bad option. A pressure washer might help, or you might just have to be pissed and try to wash it off with a sponge for hours.

use a dish detergant put it right on the sposts with a soaked ragg and it should pull it off might have todo it to times but

Also try 3M adhesive remover spray. I have had good luck getting **** like that gel up. I'd try dish soap first though.

^^Not sure on that...although after what he had done, I'd polish and wax the whole car after getting that crap off.

Dish soap is fine on cars. It's a mild degreser and detergent. Nothing more.

Once somebody puts something like petroleum jelly on your finish, you need to rewax it anyway because the stuff penetrates wax very well, so anything that doesn't attack the finish and removes the jelly will do. Laundry detergent works - you can pour that directly on the stuff and use one rag to help mix the detergent and jelly together, then wash, then probably repeat the process, then wash. Dishwashing detergent will do, but takes a little more effort. Oh, and I forgot - wipe the excess jelly off first, in case you haven't done so already! You don't want to try to lift off more than just the remaining film.

The final steps should most likely be re-wash the car with regular auto detergent, then put a good couple coats of wax down.

Washing your car once a week? Yeah, get a good car wash made for cars.
Trying to get something like vaseline off your car, or all the old wax, a few times a year or so? Dish soap is fine, as long as you then wax it afterwards.

There's no cheapness here. People have been doing it for years with no issues. I suggested it primarily because it's a better degreaser than any over the counter car wash you're going to find. And in this case, he's trying to get Vaseline off...pretty much the definition of greasy products.
